I followed on and installed Ubuntu on my home desktop as a dual bootup. Having 2 failed attempts with other distros in the past (the last of which was 3 years ago, and the one before that now 6 years ago) I can happily say that I'm enjoying this a lot more than I do windows and that I'm seriously considering ditching windows altogether now :D

I've been running a Ubuntu Server on my P2 for the last year and a half. It's much easier then Debian to install and configuring ease is pretty much the same.... but I guess coming from a Debain backround makes Ubuntu a snap to figure out.

I always order a ton of CD's and then bring them into the CSSU so that people can get their hands on the latest version.

I think it might be time to update... I'm still running 5.04. :-0

yes apt-get is the bomb. but synaptic just makes searching for packages that much easier.

Kevin, weren't you a gnome fanatic? what happened to you? hehe. The tables seem to have turned; I used to like KDE and you used to like gnome, back when you were using redhat.
